All papers in the main track must be high quality original papers which address important issues in multimedia exploration, summarization and retrieval including, but not limited to:

Brave New Topics Session- pioneering new theories or applications in MIR. Here we emphasize "brave", presumably something that is either unprecedented or looked impossible at the beginning but turns out to be a great idea.
