IKT/Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie

IKT (auch Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik) umfasst Technologien im Bereich der Information und Kommunikation. Grundlegend geht es dabei um Informationsübertragung, bzw. die Weiterleitung, Codierung und Speicherung von Informationen. IKT-Anwendungen umfassen sowohl Geräte (z.B. Computer, Mobiltelefone, Radio) und Programme (z.B. E-Mail, Software) als auch ganze Infrastrukturen und Netzwerksysteme (z.B. Internet).
